My Diary

As we feared, Jacob’s second cycle of chemotherapy took its toll and he was admitted to hospital with a fever, severe sickness and diarrhoea. Jacob was also covered in a rash caused by a viral infection. All in all he had a really rough time, but is now back home and recovering well.

We are all finding it heavy going at the moment. We have a lot to contend with in terms of future treatment, where and when this will take place etc. Watching Jacob go through his current treatment breaks our hearts, he should be doing the normal things; going to school and playing with his friends.

In the midst of everything we are also trying to prepare for Christmas and have some very special things planned for Jacob (too secret to mention here!!). It goes without saying that we want to make this a very special Christmas for Jacob, we want to place reality to one side for a while and I think we all deserve this, especially Jacob.

A special thank you goes out to Nick Green for his wonderful fundraising recently. Nick (with scarf) ran the Mersyside Santa Dash for Jacob.

We would also like to thank Jo Molly who has kindly offered to run the London Marathon for Jacob next year and Alan Gold from our Charity 2Simple Trust. Alan has moved on to pastures new and we wish him all the best.

Bye for now.
