My Diary

Hello Everybody.

I just wanted to let you all know that I am now doing really well following my high dose chemotherapy. I have managed to get through so far with no major infections and my blood counts are rising which means I should remain well from now on. Best of all though, Ben is now allowed into my room!!

My mouth, throat and tummy still hurt quite a lot and as you can see I have had to have a tube fitted in my nose to help me feed (that’s why I’m not smiling as usual). It was really nasty having this fitted, it goes down into my tummy and feels really uncomfortable - it will have to stay in until I am able to eat properly and I tell you I can’t wait for it to be taken out! I’m getting lots of cuddles from my Mummy and Daddy which is helping me though.

I am hoping to be home from hospital for my 6th Birthday which is on the 25th April, but we’ll have to wait and see. My Mummy and Daddy want to have a special party for me but because of my illness it is difficult to plan, so, fingers crossed I will be okay. Look out for me on Milkshake on Channel 5 as they will be reading out a special card on my birthday.

I got a visit the other day from all the Jockeys from the Grand National and guess what, the man who came to see me, Timmy Murphy, won. My Daddy says this is another good omen! (remember Ronaldo scoring when I walked on with him).

Anyway, must go as I’m feeling a little tired.

Love to you all
Jacob.
