Jacob is now back home from hospital after his stem cell recovery. This went well but took longer than we expected. Jacob has also been having daily (GCSF) injections to help boost his blood counts. He does not like these injections, which are given his leg, and we feel very cruel telling him he has to have them. ‘Just another minute’ he says each time the injection is about to be given.

Because the hospital ward was so busy, Jacob and his Mummy were given their own room. This was nice, as although it is lovely to see the other children and parents on the ward, it is also nice to have your own space. The nurses thought Jacob was so brave whilst in hospital and gave him a remote controlled car as a going home present.

Jacob is very well at the moment and is enjoying being at home and playing with his friends and also Ben! We are enjoying the time together before going to London for the MIBG treatment. This is going to be really tough for us all due to the separation and Jacob won’t be able to have contact with Ben for a month! As long as Jacob is happy we will cope - he keeps us going and is our rock!

“Just Another Minute”
